Hello, hello! I'm Emily Coldwell, and I teach English I & II at Minerva High School. This is my seventh year in the district, and I'm grateful to be a Minerva Lion! My husband, Jed, and I have two children, Silas and Caroline. I'm the oldest of five children. I grew up in a small town (a village, really) called Lisbon, and that is where I graduated from high school. I attended Kent State University and received a Bachelors of Science in Education. A Google Certified Educator I am. (Yoda speak.) I love spending time with my family, traveling, gardening, and cooking new (and sometimes funky) things. (If you raise pigs, I want their heads!) I hate unloading the dishwasher, rye bread, and black licorice. Each year I hope to inspire my students to invent a robot that does laundry (Wash it, dry it, fold it and put it away; I am open to piloting prototypes.) and to embrace their best possible "face to the world." I'm looking forward to another great year of teaching, learning, and technology! Should you have any questions or need to contact me, please e-mail me at [email protected] or send me a tweet on Twitter @MrsColdwell (but keep in mind the latter is public.)
